Die perfekte Harmonie zwischen Francesco, Gabriella, Marcello, Roberto und Pia Donata ist der Schlüssel zum Erfolg der Azienda Agricola Fratelli Berlucchi. Ein Betrieb, der auf eine Gesamtfläche von fast 70 Hektar Weinbergen zählen kann, alle mit DOC- und DOCG-Status, sowie auf die große Erfahrung des Önologen Cesare Ferrari, der seit über dreißig Jahren technischer Leiter des Unternehmens ist.
All dies schafft einen Kontext, aus dem Franciacorta von großer Persönlichkeit, großem Charme und großer Präzision entstehen, deren Geheimnis in der langen Reifung liegt, die sie kennzeichnet. Für die Herstellung von Franciacorta sind sehr lange Zeiten erforderlich: etwa sieben Monate nach der Lese wird dem Grundwein Hefe zugesetzt und abgefüllt, um eine zweite Gärung zu starten, die etwa zwei Monate dauert. Danach müssen die Flaschen mindestens 18 Monate (dreißig und mehr bei Jahrgangsweinen) auf der Hefe ruhen, bevor jeder Franciacorta degorgiert und anschließend dosiert werden kann. Im Fall der Kellerei „Fratelli Berlucchi“ werden all diese Zeiten, auch sehr deutlich, verlängert, um für jede Cuvée jene Eleganz zu finden, die das eigentliche Markenzeichen des Unternehmens aus Borgonato, einem kleinen Ortsteil von Corte Franca in der Provinz Brescia, ist.
