Der Mazy-Chambertin Grand Cru 1990 von André de Méricourt ist ein meisterhaftes Porträt Burgunds auf seinem Höhepunkt der Reife, ein Wein, der sich heute in einem granatroten Gewand mit warmen Reflexen und einem olfaktorischen Profil von außergewöhnlicher Komplexität präsentiert. In der Nase haben sich die anfänglichen roten Früchte zu tiefen Noten von Unterholz, Leder, süßem Tabak und einer zarten Spur dunkler Gewürze entwickelt, während er im Mund die typische Kraft des Terroirs von Gevrey-Chambertin offenbart, mit Tanninen, die mittlerweile vom Alter zu einer seidigen und umhüllenden Textur geschliffen wurden.
