Ein Premier Cru von bemerkenswerter Bedeutung für Domaine Chevillon unter den vielen separat vinifizierten Weinen des Domaines in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Insbesondere Les Cailles (dessen Name von der Wurzel des Wortes "Stein" und nicht, wie man vielleicht denken könnte, von "Wachtel" abgeleitet ist) liegt auf halbem Weg zwischen Corton und Saint-Georges. Denis und Bertrand, die das Weingut seit einigen Jahren leiten, keltern Trauben von über 13 Hektar in der Gemeinde und verstehen es, den verschiedenen Nuancen der AOC Ausdruck zu verleihen. Dieser Les Cailles, einer der drei besten Weinberge der Appellation, bildet da keine Ausnahme. Mit seinen Böden, die reich an rotem Ton auf alten Kalksteinfelsen sind, verleiht er den hier entstehenden Weinen Kraft und Extraktion, aber immer und vor allem Finesse.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
