Le Piane 2011 ist ein Rotwein von großer Eleganz und Authentizität, der in der alten und faszinierenden Region Boca im Piemont hergestellt wird. Diese Cuvée ist das Ergebnis einer gekonnten Assemblage, bei der Nebbiolo die absolute Hauptrolle spielt, oft begleitet von autochthonen Rebsorten wie Vespolina und manchmal Croatina. Der Jahrgang 2011 ist besonders faszinierend in Bezug auf Gleichgewicht und Struktur, dank einer günstigen Saison, die die Typizität der Rebsorten zur Geltung brachte. Nach der manuellen Ernte werden die Trauben auf traditionelle Weise vergoren und der Wein reift für einen längeren Zeitraum in großen Eichenfässern, was ihm aromatische Komplexität und eine raffinierte Tanninstruktur verleiht.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
