Der Wein präsentiert sich mit einem brillanten Strohgelb und leichten goldenen Nuancen, die auf die Entwicklung des Jahrgangs zurückzuführen sind. In der Nase ist er fein und elegant, mit Aromen von weißen Blüten, frischen Zitrusfrüchten (Zitrone, Grapefruit), Apfel und Birne, gefolgt von reiferen Noten von weißem Pfirsich. Mit der Oxidation treten zarte Anklänge von Haselnuss, frischer Mandel und eine leichte buttrige Nuance hervor, gut integriert durch einen maßvollen Holzeinsatz. Insgesamt ist der 2011er von Carillon ein klassischer und sehr feiner Puligny, der mehr auf Eleganz, Reinheit und mineralische Spannung als auf Reichtum oder Konzentration setzt. Heute befindet er sich in einer interessanten Entwicklungsphase, in der sich die anfängliche Frische mit komplexeren Nuancen harmonisiert hat.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
