Er gehört zur „Réserve“-Linie von Mouton Cadet, die darauf abzielt, die Eigenschaften der einzelnen Bordelaiser Terroirs hervorzuheben, in diesem Fall die der historischen Region Saint-Émilion am rechten Ufer von Bordeaux, die für ihre Weine auf Merlot-Basis, begleitet von Cabernet Franc und Cabernet Sauvignon, bekannt ist.
