It can be dry, sharp, and salty, or slightly sweet, rounder, and more enveloping, all the way to sweet versions of great concentration and finesse. In any case, its freshness keeps the wine lively, prevents any sense of heaviness, and makes it one of the most age-worthy white wines of all.
Aus gastronomischer Sicht ist der Riesling einer der vielseitigsten Weine, die es gibt. In den trockenen Versionen passt er perfekt zu rohem und mariniertem Fisch, Austern, Meeresfrüchten, gedämpftem oder gegrilltem Fisch sowie zu vegetarischen Gerichten und aromatischen Kräutern.
