Dieser Romanée-Saint-Vivant ist ein Meisterwerk des Pinot Noir, vinifiziert von Michel Voarick. Das Weingut wird nachhaltig bewirtschaftet. Die Domaine Michel Voarick produziert diese Cuvée seit mehreren Jahren nicht mehr, was sie zu einer Rarität macht.
Nach einer Handlese bei voller Reife und einer strengen Sortierung werden die Trauben entrappt und vinifiziert. Die Extraktion wird von Unterstoßen und Umpumpen begleitet. Der Wein reift 12-24 Monate lang.
Bei der Verkostung zeigt er eine tief rubinrote Farbe, die mit der Zeit karminrote Reflexe annimmt. Das Bouquet ist komplex mit Noten von roten und schwarzen Beerenfrüchten, Veilchen, Unterholz und Gewürzen. Dieser Romanée drückt einen intensiven Schluck aus, mit einem kräftigen Auftakt am Gaumen und einer außergewöhnlichen Eleganz. Er besitzt zudem ein hervorragendes Alterungspotenzial. Er sollte bei 16-17°C zu raffinierten Gerichten wie Entenbrust, einem Kalbsbraten oder Hasen Royale serviert werden.
