The Champagne region, located in northeastern France, is famous for producing the renowned sparkling wine. Viticulture in the area is mainly based on three grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The traditional method used to produce Champagne is the "méthode champenoise". This process involves a double fermentation: the first takes place in stainless steel vats and the second in the bottle, where sugar and yeast are added for natural fermentation. During maturation, the bottles are periodically rotated and tilted, a process known as "remuage", to ensure an even distribution of sediment. The vines planted on limestone soils give the wine its distinctive complexity and finesse, creating an effervescent drink admired around the world.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
