A powerful and aristocratic red wine, aged for a long time in oak barrels and subsequently bottled, this wine is remarkably balanced, with a full and elegant flavor. It has a deep red color and a good body with excellent tannins that make it enveloping and velvety. Vinification takes place in concrete tanks with long maceration on the skins. Malolactic fermentation is carried out.

Maturation: 18-20 months in medium- and high-toasted French and American oak barrels, some new; 60-90 days of blending in steel and 120 days of aging in bottle.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
