Coming from the prestigious Cru La Groletta and Conca d'Oro in Valpolicella Classica, this wine from the Tommasi family represents the classic par excellence. Elegance and structure, softness and complexity make it unique. It has an intense and deep ruby red color with garnet nuances. On the nose it offers complex aromatic notes of fruit in alcohol, bitter spices, black pepper, licorice and cocoa. In the mouth it is intense, with great structure and power, expressing ripe fruit in a sumptuous way. The finish is pleasantly sinuous and dry.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
