Barolo DOCG undicicomuni is a wine that faithfully expresses each vintage, the fruit of the best exposures of our vineyards located in the municipalities of the denomination. The circular logo on the label, with different colors, indicates the areas of the municipalities that belong to the area of ​​origin of Barolo. The variety is 100% Nebbiolo, with a vinification that involves fermentation and maceration for about three weeks in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, followed by a spontaneous malolactic fermentation in wood. Aging takes place for 26 months in large barrels, with a further refinement of 6 months in cement tanks. With an average annual production of 50,000 bottles, the wine stands out for its elegance and complexity, ideal for long aging.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
