Giacomo Borgogno e Figli is a historic and famous winery based in the town of Barolo in the Italian wine region of Piedmont. It is best known for its Riserva Barolo wines, which are some of the most sought-after and expensive wines in the region. Borgogno is also known for aging its wines for more than a decade before release. Alongside the Riserva, Barolo is present throughout the wine range. Outside of the Barolo DOCG, Borgogno produces a Langhe Nebbiolo, a Dolcetto d'Alba, and a Barbera d'Alba, among others. The winery is located in the center of the town of Barolo, with cellars carved into the surrounding hillside. Borgogno uses traditional winemaking methods including native yeasts, long fermentations, and the use of large Slavonian oak barrels.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
