The Barolo Bricco Rocche di Ceretto is a highly prestigious wine obtained from Nebbiolo grapes from one of the most renowned crus in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto and represents a historic expression of Barolo in one of the most celebrated vintages of the 1980s. It presents itself today with a deep garnet color with evident orange reflections, an indication of long evolution. On the nose it is extremely complex and ethereal with notes of dried rose, dry violet, leather, tobacco, fine spices, tar, truffle and tertiary hints such as undergrowth, humus and noble woods. On the palate it is harmonious and velvety with tannins now fully evolved and silky, a structure still present but perfectly integrated and a residual freshness that supports the sip making it surprisingly lively despite its age. The finish is very long, elegant and persistent with balsamic and spicy returns. The 1985 vintage is considered excellent in the Langhe and has given long-lived and profound wines capable of evolving for decades. It is recommended to serve it around 18 degrees with extreme caution if necessary. with a very delicate decantation to separate the sediments and favor the aromatic opening, it pairs ideally with important but not too aggressive dishes such as delicate braised meats, noble game, very mature cheeses or it can also be enjoyed on its own as a meditation wine, resulting overall in a Barolo of the highest level, complex and profound and representative of the great tradition of the Langhe and the aging capacity of Nebbiolo.
