Fratelli Oddero's Barbaresco 1967 represents a rare testament to the Piedmontese winemaking tradition of the 1960s, produced in a year considered excellent for Nebbiolo thanks to the slow and complete ripening of the grapes in the Langhe hills. After extensive aging, this wine displays a classic garnet color with orange highlights and develops a refined and evolved bouquet, revealing aromas of dried roses, dried violets, truffle, underbrush, leather, tobacco, sweet spices, and subtle ethereal notes typical of great mature wines. On the palate, it retains elegance, finesse, and depth, with soft and silky tannins, a pleasant residual freshness, and a lingering finish that evokes balsamic and earthy sensations. Fratelli Oddero's traditional production style, based on long macerations and aging in large oak barrels, gave the wines a great capacity for aging over time and a strong territorial identity.
