Marchesi di Barolo's Barolo is a historic red wine of great elegance and prestige, produced in the heart of the Langhe hills of Piedmont by one of the most representative wineries in the Italian winemaking tradition. Made primarily from Nebbiolo grapes, this Barbaresco is from one of the classic vintages of the late 1960s, now highly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors of vintage wines.
A deep garnet color with orange highlights due to long aging, it develops a complex and evolved bouquet with notes of dried roses, dried violets, ripe cherries, spices, tobacco, leather, undergrowth, and light balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is elegant, harmonious, and structured, with fine, velvety tannins, good persistence, and a refined balance typical of great mature Nebbiolos.
