Il Barolo 2020 di Marchesi di Barolo è un vino rosso strutturato ed elegante ottenuto da uve Nebbiolo in purezza provenienti dalle colline delle Langhe e rappresenta uno stile classico e accessibile della denominazione, si presenta nel calice con un colore rosso granato brillante destinato a evolvere verso tonalità aranciate con il tempo, al naso offre un profilo ampio e tipico con sentori di rosa appassita piccoli frutti rossi spezie tabacco e leggere note balsamiche e di goudron, al palato è equilibrato con una buona struttura sostenuta da tannini presenti ma abbastanza morbidi e una freschezza che rende la beva armonica e scorrevole, il finale è persistente con ritorni speziati e floreali, l’annata 2020 ha dato vini ben bilanciati meno austeri rispetto ad annate più potenti e quindi già piacevoli anche in relativa giovinezza, si consiglia di servirlo intorno ai 16-18 gradi con una leggera ossigenazione e si abbina molto bene a piatti ricchi come brasati arrosti carni rosse selvaggina primi strutturati e formaggi stagionati risultando nel complesso un Barolo classico equilibrato e facilmente approcciabile ideale sia per un consumo attuale sia per un breve affinamento in bottiglia.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
