An elegant and beautifully balanced Barolo, a true expression of the hills of La Morra. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards such asBoiolo, it ages in oak barrels for about 24 months, developing complexity and harmony. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe cherry, wilted rose, delicate spices, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is refined, with dense yet velvety tannins, excellent freshness, and a long, mineral, and persistent finish. The 2021 vintage is considered excellent in the Langhe. Following a cold winter and a hot summer balanced by significant daily temperature fluctuations, the grapes reached perfect ripeness. The Barolos from this vintage are powerful yet elegant, with a superb balance of fruit, structure, and acidity, and are destined for a long aging potential.

I ordered three bottles: a 1999 French wine that I opened recently—it was a huge hit.
The other two were a Barolo Serralunga d’Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d’Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015. I haven’t opened them yet, but they look very promising.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent; the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and stuck out, but I managed to protect it anyway.
Great prices you won’t find on other similar sites.
I’ll definitely be back to buy more.
