E’ un vino rosso, prodotto nelle Langhe, da uve Nebbiolo. Prodotto per la prima volta nel 1985 da uve provenienti da un vigneto impiantato da Gianfranco Bovio. Le Uve si trovano nella MGA Arborina nel Comune di La Morra con esposizione sud-est. Le uve sono accuratamente selezionate, raccolte a mano. Pigiatura soffice dell’uva. Fermentazione con lieviti indigeni per circa 15 giorni a temperatura controllata in vasche di acciaio inox, durante la quale vengono effettuati periodici rimontaggi. Segue una medio-lunga macerazione. Svinatura e fermentazione malo-lattica. Il vino viene poi travasato in botti di rovere dove affina dai 20 ai 24 mesi. Successivamente viene travasato in vasche di cemento nelle quali rimane per alcuni mesi prima di essere imbottigliato. L’annata del 2021 è stata caratterrizata da un andamento climatico regolare, con estate calda ma equilibrata e notti fresche, che hanno permesso una maturazione ottimale delle uve. I Barolo 2021 sono vini eleganti, armoniosi e con ottimo potenziale di evoluzione.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
