All’aspetto si presenta con un colore rosso rubino con riflessi granato. Il profumo è intenso con netto sentore di rosa, vaniglia, spezie e rovere tostato. Sfumata la nota di assenzio. Il gusto pieno ed elegante, di buon corpo, austero, con tannini morbidi e avvolgenti. Gradevoli sono lo speziato e la nota boisé che si fondono perfettamente. Un vino che ben si accompagna alle tradizionali paste all’uovo langarole, i tajarin, ai ravioli di carne, alle pietanze di carni rosse, ai bolliti, brasati ed alla selvaggina. È compagno ideale delle tome di pecora e capra e dei formaggi a pasta dura stagionati. La temperatura di servizio ottimale è di 16°C.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
