Barolo Cerequio comes from the vineyard of the same name, purchased by the Chiarlo family in the 1980s. Located in the municipality of La Morra, it was already cited in the 19th century as one of the best locations for Nebbiolo structure. The soils here are of the Tortonian geological formation, formed approximately 9-10 million years ago, rich in blue marl and sand, giving the Barolos good structure, but also depth and elegance. This is the most representative and historic bottle of Barolo produced by Chiarlo. The wine is aged for approximately two years in large oak barrels and two years in bottle. A wine that has an incredible aging potential, up to 50 years, and can express its best characteristics 5-10 years after the harvest. A wine with balsamic, vegetal, and berry aromas, it is dry on the palate with deep tannins, yet with an unparalleled freshness and crispness.
