Un Barolo dal carattere autentico e profondo, proveniente dal cru Le Coste di Monforte, una delle zone più vocate del comune di Monforte d’Alba. Prodotto da Nebbiolo in purezza e affinato per circa 30 mesi in botti grandi di rovere, rappresenta al meglio lo stile elegante e tradizionale della cantina Benevelli. Al naso si distingue per profumi nitidi di ciliegia, lampone, violetta e rosa appassita, accompagnati da sfumature di liquirizia, tabacco e spezie fini. In bocca è pieno e armonioso, con tannini setosi, ottima freschezza e un finale lungo e minerale che rivela la classicità di Monforte. L’annata del 2020 è stata contraddistinta da un andamento climatico regolare e perfettamente equilibrato, che ha favorito maturazioni lente e complete. L’estate calda ma mai eccessiva, unita a eccellenti escursioni termiche, ha permesso di ottenere uve sane e ricche di aromi. I Barolo 2020 si caratterizzano per eleganza, finezza e precisione: vini armoniosi, già piacevoli ma capaci di evolversi magnificamente nel tempo.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
