Il Barolo Lecinquevigne di Damilano è un vino rosso elegante e complesso ottenuto da uve Nebbiolo provenienti da diversi comuni della zona del Barolo, caratteristica che gli conferisce grande equilibrio tra struttura e finezza, nel calice si presenta con un colore rosso rubino evoluto con riflessi granati mentre al naso offre un bouquet ampio e raffinato con sentori di rosa appassita viola spezie tabacco cuoio e leggere note balsamiche tipiche dell’evoluzione del vitigno, al palato è armonico con tannini presenti ma ormai ben integrati una buona freschezza che sostiene la beva e un finale lungo persistente con ritorni speziati e terziari. Si esprime al meglio servito intorno ai 16-18 gradi possibilmente dopo una breve decantazione e si abbina perfettamente a piatti strutturati come brasati arrosti selvaggina primi ricchi come tajarin al ragù o risotto al tartufo e formaggi stagionati o erborinati.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
