Un Barolo di rara eleganza, proveniente dal celebre cru Monvigliero di Verduno, noto per i suoi terreni calcarei e la straordinaria finezza dei tannini. Prodotto da Nebbiolo in purezza e affinato circa 30 mesi in legno, si apre con profumi di ciliegia rossa, violetta, scorza d’arancia e spezie dolci, con accenni balsamici e minerali. Al palato è armonioso e setoso, con tannini fini, equilibrio perfetto tra struttura e freschezza, e un finale lungo e aromatico. L’annata del 2020 è stata  caratterizzata da un andamento climatico equilibrato, con estate calda ma non estrema e notti fresche che hanno preservato eleganza e complessità aromatica. I Barolo di quest’annata mostrano frutto puro, acidità viva e tannini vellutati: vini raffinati, già godibili, ma con notevole capacità di invecchiamento.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
