Il Barolo Paiagallo Mirafiore affina per due anni in botti di Allier di media e grande capacità (da 2.000 a 14.000 litri). La permanenza in botti di rovere consente di affinare ulteriormente i tannini senza incrementare la sensazione boisè e per ottenere il giusto equilibrio tra il profumo dell’uva e quello del legno. Al termine della permanenza nel legno si effettua, se necessario, una chiarifica per arrotondare ulteriormente qualche spigolosità rimasta e per ottenere un illimpidimento ottimale del vino, che viene quindi imbottigliato e affinato ancora per almeno un anno prima di essere commercializzato. Il colore è rosso rubino, con riflessi granati. Il profumo è icco di frutta a bacca nera: ciliegia, mora e prugna, con netti sentori di spezie come la cannella, i chiodi di garofano e il pepe nero. In bocca i tannini morbidi e dolci si fondono con una forte sensazione di frutta. L’ acidità, ben bilanciata con i tannini, dona una sensazione di freschezza che prolunga la sensazione finale.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
