Un Barolo di straordinaria finezza e profondità, proveniente dal celebre cru Prapò di Serralunga d’Alba, una delle vigne più rinomate per regalare vini di grande struttura e longevità. Prodotto da Nebbiolo in purezza e affinato per oltre 30 mesi in botti grandi di rovere, rappresenta un equilibrio perfetto tra potenza e eleganza. Al naso si apre con profumi complessi di ciliegia matura, viola, liquirizia, tabacco e spezie fini, accompagnati da un sottofondo minerale e ferroso tipico del terroir di Serralunga. In bocca è ricco e avvolgente, con tannini solidi ma setosi, grande freschezza e un finale lunghissimo e armonioso. L’annata del 2020 è stata eccellente e perfettamente bilanciata. L’andamento climatico regolare, con estate calda ma non estrema e buone escursioni termiche, ha favorito una maturazione lenta e completa delle uve. I Barolo 2020 si distinguono per purezza aromatica, tannini maturi e notevole equilibrio, offrendo vini eleganti e già godibili ma con un lungo potenziale di evoluzione.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
