Un Barolo di straordinaria eleganza e profondità, espressione pura del celebre cru Prapò nel comune di Serralunga d’Alba. Prodotto da Nebbiolo in purezza e affinato per circa 24 mesi in botti grandi di rovere, rappresenta una sintesi perfetta tra potenza e finezza. Al naso si apre con profumi intensi di ciliegia, ribes nero e petali di rosa, seguiti da note di tabacco, liquirizia e spezie dolci. In bocca è pieno, avvolgente e minerale, con tannini fitti e vellutati, una freschezza vibrante e un finale lungo e persistente, che riflette il carattere austero e profondo di Serralunga. L’annata del 2021 considerata eccellente nelle Langhe, con un andamento climatico equilibrato. L’inverno freddo e piovoso ha garantito buone riserve idriche, mentre l’estate calda ma ventilata e le notti fresche hanno permesso una maturazione lenta e completa del Nebbiolo. I Barolo 2021 si distinguono per precisione aromatica, tannini eleganti e grande equilibrio: vini puri, raffinati e di notevole potenziale evolutivo.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
