Prodotto da Nebbiolo in purezza e affinato per 36 mesi in botti di rovere, seguiti da un lungo riposo in bottiglia, questo vino incarna potenza, complessità e straordinaria eleganza. Il bouquet è ampio e profondo, con sentori di ciliegia scura, rosa appassita, tabacco, cuoio e spezie nobili. In bocca rivela una struttura maestosa, tannini fitti e vellutati, freschezza equilibrata e un finale interminabile, che unisce forza e finezza in perfetta armonia. L’annata del 2019: tra le migliori del decennio nelle Langhe, paragonata a grandi millesimi come 2010 e 2016. I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
