In 1993, Renzo Rosso, owner of Diesel Jeans, purchased a 100-hectare plot of land just outside the center of Marostica to establish his farm. The estate is essentially a small ecosystem, with woods and wild animals. Its meadows are home to cows, goats, sheep, horses, and chickens, as well as wild boar, roe deer, squirrels, and birds, including falcons. Vineyards and olive groves also feature. The first wine was produced in 1999.
A pure Chardonnay, it is an intense, broad, and elegant wine. Vinified with different extractions and aging materials to reveal the intensely mineral expression of the hillside soils, it ferments in temperature-controlled tanks and ages for six months in oak barrels. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of melted butter, candied citrus, pastry, yellow flowers, and blond tobacco. The palate is opulent, rich, and mineral, with a fresh and persistent finish.
