The Sangiovese vineyard used for Brunello Cerbaia is located at 350 m above sea level on the Montosoli hill, a historic Brunello cru, a sought-after location for the renowned quality of its vineyards.

The vines are planted on clay-rich, marly soils. Once the manual harvest is complete, the wine is fermented in steel vats, followed by 15 days of temperature-controlled maceration. Finally, the wine ages for 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and 5 months in the bottle.

Brunello Cerbaia is the perfect wine to pair with aged cheeses, roasts, cured meats, game, soups and meat-based first courses.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
