Il Brunello di Montalcino 2012 di Carpineto è un vino rosso ottenuto da uve Sangiovese Grosso in purezza che rappresenta uno stile moderno ma equilibrato della denominazione, con una buona combinazione tra struttura, frutto e bevibilità, si presenta nel calice con un colore rosso granato fitto con riflessi aranciati ancora delicati segno di un’evoluzione iniziale, al naso è intenso e abbastanza complesso con profumi di ciliegia matura amarena prugna spezie dolci vaniglia tabacco e leggere note balsamiche e tostate dovute all’affinamento in legno, al palato è pieno e armonico con una struttura solida tannini ben presenti ma già levigati una buona freschezza che mantiene equilibrio e un sorso rotondo e scorrevole, il finale è lungo e persistente con ritorni fruttati speziati e leggermente mentolati, l’annata 2012 a Montalcino è considerata molto buona calda e regolare con vini concentrati maturi e già piacevoli in gioventù ma con buona capacità di evoluzione, si consiglia di servirlo a 16-18 gradi con una breve decantazione e si abbina molto bene a carni rosse arrosti brasati selvaggina e formaggi stagionati risultando nel complesso un Brunello equilibrato solido e piacevolmente immediato con stile accessibile e buona struttura complessiva.
