L’azienda agricola Capanna, proprietà della famiglia Cencioni dal 1957, è situata a nord di Montalcino nella zona di Montosoli. Considerata uno dei migliori cru del Brunello viene ancora oggi condotta a livello esclusivamente familiare, con la consulenza dell’ enologo Paolo Vagaggini. I Vigneti, circa 20 ettari, sono stati impiantati nelle zone migliori dell’ azienda e coltivati con la passione e l’esperienza di generazioni di vignaioli. La vendemmia, effettuata solo manualmente, consente di scegliere i grappoli più adatti alla creazione di ogni singolo vino. Da questa selezione e da un invecchiamento in botti di rovere di Slavonia nascerà dopo 4 anni il Brunello di Montalcino. Anni che diventano 5 per il Brunello scelto per divenire Riserva. Per il lungo invecchiamento e per la cura e le attenzioni che gli vengono prestate nella produzione il Brunello di Montalcino è ormai considerato uno dei vini rossi più preziosi ed esclusivi da abbinare a piatti di cacciagione e selvaggina, arrosti di carni rosse e formaggi stagionati, ma è anche un grande vino da meditazione.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
