Il Brunello di Montalcino “Vigna Marrucheto” 2021 di Castello Banfi è un vino che fonde eleganza e struttura in modo deciso, frutto di uve 100 % Sangiovese provenienti dal vigneto omonimo, una singola vigna attentamente studiata e valorizzata all’interno dell’ampia tenuta di Banfi.
Nel calice si presenta con un rosso rubino intenso e brillante. Al naso si apre con frutta rossa matura  come prugna e ciliegia  integrata da delicate note floreali e balsamiche, cui si aggiungono leggere spezie dolci e sfumature minerali. Al palato è pieno, vibrante e ben bilanciato, con tannini maturi e levigati, una freschezza incisiva che sostiene tutto il sorso e una persistenza lunga e armoniosa che lascia ricordi di frutta e spezie. È l’interpretazione di un terroir preciso e selezionato, adatta ad accompagnare piatti ricchi e complessi  come carni arrosto, selvaggina e formaggi stagionati  ma capace anche di… sedersi da sola nella contemplazione di ogni sorso

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
