Vignavecchia is the most prized and iconic cru of the San Polo estate: it comes from a small vineyard of just 2 hectares, facing west with stony soils rich in marl, planted in 1988 and capable of producing wines of great concentration, intensity, and complexity.
In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red color, while the aromatic profile evolves between ripe red fruit, violets, underbrush, and delicate spices, supported by mineral notes and a deep, complex texture. On the palate, it is full and rich, with warm, well-integrated tannins, balanced acidity, and a structure that offers a deep, vertical, and persistent finish: this is a Brunello with great character and potential for evolution.
Fine tannins and rich texture that require a few years in the bottle to express themselves at their best (recommended after around 2028).
