Eletto Grand Cru Classé della denominazione Saint-Estèphe (Médoc) nel 1855, lo Château Cos d’Estournel ci propone un vino che incarna la quintessenza dell’eleganza e dell’intensità. Sin dalla fase di gioventù, rivela potenti note fruttate e una bella corposità, che sfuma dolcemente verso una notevole complessità aromatica. Le uve di cabernet-sauvignon (2/3) e merlot (1/3), completate da cabernet franc e petit verdot, provengono da vigne di circa 55 anni che si trovano su pendii inerbiti con suoli ricchi di graves sottili per il cabernet e di calcare per il merlot. Dopo la vendemmia e un'accurata selezione, la tenuta effettua una vinificazione per caduta. Le temperature sono rigorosamente controllate e il vino viene lasciato invecchiare in barrique di rovere nuove per 18 mesi.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
