Il Château du Taillan – Haut‑Médoc Cru Bourgeois 2005 è un vino rosso classico della denominazione Haut‑Médoc, prodotto nello storico Château du Taillan, una proprietà situata alle porte di Bordeaux e gestita da generazioni dalla stessa famiglia. L’annata 2005, considerata una delle migliori del Bordeaux moderno, ha dato origine a un vino di grande struttura ed equilibrio. Nel bicchiere si presenta con un colore rosso rubino intenso con riflessi granati che iniziano a comparire con l’evoluzione. Il profumo è elegante e complesso con note di frutti neri maturi come ribes e mora, accompagnate da sfumature di spezie dolci, tabacco, legno ben integrato e leggere sensazioni di sottobosco. Al palato è pieno e armonioso, con una trama tannica solida ma vellutata che sostiene una materia ricca e concentrata. L’equilibrio tra frutto, struttura e freschezza dona profondità e una lunga persistenza aromatica nel finale, nel quale ritornano sensazioni di frutta scura, spezie e leggere note tostate. I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
