Il Château Gruaud Larose 1992 è un raffinato vino rosso di Saint-Julien, classificato come Deuxième Cru Classé, che esprime con eleganza il carattere tipico dei grandi tagli bordolesi a prevalenza Cabernet Sauvignon nonostante le sfide climatiche di un'annata segnata da un'estate calda seguita da un settembre piovoso. Nel calice si presenta con una tonalità rosso rubino profondo che tende al granato, segno di una maturità ormai compiuta che ha trasformato la potenza giovanile in una complessità terziaria fatta di aromi di sottobosco, cuoio, tabacco e delicate note di frutti neri in confettura. Al palato la struttura è equilibrata e meno tannica rispetto alle annate più muscolose della tenuta, offrendo una consistenza setosa e vellutata sorretta da una buona freschezza che ne mantiene vivo il sorso fino a un finale persistente e armonioso. Grazie al suo lungo affinamento in bottiglia, questo vino ha smussato le spigolosità iniziali diventando un compagno ideale per piatti di carne strutturati come il brasato al vino rosso, l'agnello alle erbe o la piccola selvaggina, sprigionando il massimo del suo potenziale se servito a una temperatura di circa 16-18 gradi dopo una breve ossigenazione.
