Il Château La Tour Blanche 1976 è un Sauternes Premier Cru Classé che rappresenta una delle annate storiche e più riuscite del dopoguerra per i vini dolci di Bordeaux. Questo vino, giunto a una maturità straordinaria, si presenta nel bicchiere con un colore oro antico profondo, quasi ambrato, che anticipa un'esperienza sensoriale densa e complessa.

Alla vista rapisce con un colore ambra intenso dai riflessi dorati carichi, che ne denunciano subito l'importante evoluzione in bottiglia. Il naso è un'esplosione di botrytis nobile dove l'albicocca disidratata e la scorza d'arancia candita si fondono a note di miele di castagno, zafferano e cera d'api, arricchite da un sottofondo di frutta secca tostata e vaniglia dolce. La persistenza è infinita, con ritorni minerali e di caramello salato che lo rendono il compagno ideale per piatti di grande intensità come il foie gras de canard o formaggi erborinati potenti come il Roquefort e il Gorgonzola piccante. Per un abbinamento più audace e raffinato, può accompagnare divinamente una tartelletta alle pesche sciroppate e mandorle o piatti a base di crostacei nobili con salse speziate, offrendo un'esperienza sensoriale complessa e vellutata che solo un Premier Cru Classé di questo lignaggio sa regalare dopo quarant'anni.
