Il Château Suau è un vino bianco dolce francese d’eccellenza proveniente dalla zona di Barsac e classificato come Deuxième Cru Classé nella storica selezione del 1855. Questo Sauternes si presenta oggi con un affascinante colore ambrato dorato, frutto di oltre trent’anni di evoluzione in bottiglia che hanno trasformato la sua vivacità iniziale in una complessità profonda e vellutata. Al naso sprigiona un bouquet intenso dominato dalle note tipiche della muffa nobile, con richiami decisi al miele d'acacia, all'albicocca disidratata e alla scorza d'arancia candita, arricchiti da sfumature terziarie di zafferano e spezie dolci. Al palato la struttura è densa e viscosa ma perfettamente bilanciata da una vena acida che ne sostiene la dolcezza senza renderla stucchevole, chiudendo con una persistenza aromatica lunghissima. Ideale da servire intorno ai 10-12 gradi in abbinamento a formaggi erborinati intensi come il Roquefort o a della pasticceria secca raffinata.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
