Il vigneto "Demoiselles", attualmente di proprietà della Maison Louis Latour, ha preso il nome da due sorelle, Adèle e Julie Voillot. La Maison oggi possiede 0,51 ettari, situati nella parte più alta della collina. La cuvée è stata vinificata e affinata secondo il tradizionale savoir-faire della tenuta: con svolgimento della malolattica e una maturazione in barrique di rovere (100% nuove) per un periodo di 8-10 mesi. Il vino si presenta di colore oro chiaro ed esprime opulenza, ricchezza e complessità di aromi fruttati e note di miele. Al palato possiede una grande struttura e una notevole morbidezza. Il finale è intenso e molto persistente. Si consiglia di servirlo a una temperatura di circa 11 °C in abbinamento a del pollame in salsa. Lo stile della maison è preciso e ben definito: vini rossi raffinati e molto eleganti; e vini bianchi ricchi ed equilibrati. I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
