Siamo in provincia di Siena, nel territorio del Chianti Classico, ed è qui che incontriamo l’omonima azienda vitivinicola di “Stomennano”, appartenente attualmente a Matteo Lupi Grassi, quest’ultimo affiancato in cantina dall’enologo Lorenzo Landi e in vigna dall’agronomo Attilio Persia, e soprattutto discendente di un’antica famiglia senese le cui tracce risalgono al Medioevo, da oltre due secoli e mezzo insediatasi proprio a Stomennano. Dalla vigna alla cantina le attenzioni sono sempre le stesse, per cui ogni passaggio produttivo è meticolosamente monitorato con le massime attenzioni: la fermentazione è svolta in acciaio a temperatura controllata, con una lunga macerazione sulle bucce per i vini rossi, mentre l’invecchiamento è eseguito in barrique di rovere francese o botti grandi, a eccezione dei vini bianchi che invece completano l’affinamento in acciaio. È così che nascono le etichette della cantina Stomennano.
