Dai primi anni del Duemila a Castagneto Carducci, i padroni di casa e anima viva della cantina sono Stefano Granata e Paola De Fusco, rispettivamente ingegnere elettronico ed enologa. Si sono sempre schierati dalla parte della natura nella conduzione della loro azienda I Luoghi, bandendo l’utilizzo di prodotti chimici di sintesi e di diserbanti in vigna e riducendo al minimo le concimazione al fine di mantenere in vita l’equilibrio vegetale e produttivo delle piante. Anche in cantina si cerca di toccare il mosto il meno possibile, avviando fermentazioni spontanee con soli lieviti naturalmente presenti sulle bucce degli acini e effettuando quotidianamente rimontaggi e follature leggere.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
