Il Clos de la Cure Saint-Émilion Grand Cru è un vino rosso bordolese della riva destra che nasce da vigneti su suoli argillo-calcarei e da un assemblaggio tipico dominato da Merlot con una quota importante di Cabernet Franc, capace di esprimere uno stile ricco, strutturato ed equilibrato. Al naso offre un profilo intenso e raffinato con note di frutti rossi e neri come ciliegia, mora e ribes, accompagnate da sfumature floreali e da accenti più evoluti di legno, spezie, cacao e tabacco, soprattutto con l’affinamento . In bocca si presenta pieno e armonico, con una buona potenza ma sostenuto da una freschezza che mantiene equilibrio tra acidità e tannini, generalmente ben integrati e di grana fine, con un finale lungo e asciutto . È un vino che può evolvere bene nel tempo sviluppando complessità terziarie, mantenendo una struttura solida e una componente minerale tipica dei migliori Saint-Émilion Grand Cru , e si presta ad accompagnare piatti importanti come carni rosse, agnello o selvaggina, offrendo una degustazione elegante ma al tempo stesso decisa.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
