Il Merlot è un vitigno con una lunga tradizione su queste colline dove ha dimostrato un notevole adattamento a tutte le sue particolari caratteristiche pedoclimatiche. Le uve raggiungono qui uno straordinario livello di maturazione, esprimendosi poi in vini di a altissima eleganza perfettamente bilanciati e di notevole gradevolezza.  Questo Merlot nasce da una vecchia vigna a bassa produttività, dove più rigorosa è stata la selezione. Sin dalla vendemmia gli acini dotati di intenso colore e ricca concentrazione vengono posti a fermentare in vasche inox a temperatura controllata, con una lunga macerazione sulle bucce al fine di ottenere un sontuoso ma equilibrato corredo polifenolico. È vino da bere in ampi ballon a 18 gradi di temperatura, abbinato a piatti di carne della grande cucina.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
