Recioto della Valpolicella is a historic and extremely rare dessert wine, part of the great tradition of the classic Valpolicella region. Made from dried grapes using the ancient Recioto method, it represents an elegant and intense expression of Venetian winemaking in the 1970s.
A deep garnet color with amber highlights due to its long aging, it develops complex aromas of cherries in alcohol, dried figs, raisins, cocoa, sweet tobacco, spices, and ethereal notes typical of great mature wines. On the palate, it is velvety, warm, and enveloping, with a sweetness balanced by a surprising freshness and a long, aromatic finish.
It belongs to an iconic period for artisanal Valpolicella winemaking, when historic houses like Masi helped consolidate the international fame of Veneto's appassimento wines.
