Barbaresco “Martinenga” - 2020 - Marchesi di Gresy
Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Grésy, commonly known as Marchesi di Grésy, is renowned for its location east of Alba in northwestern Piedmont and its production of fine wines, especially Barbaresco DOCG. Founded in 1797, the di Grésy family has run the winery for generations, starting wine production in 1973. The main winery is located in Martinenga, in the heart of the Barbaresco wine region. The Martinenga vineyard covers 24 hectares (about 59 acres) and produces three different Barbaresco labels, each from specific parts of the vineyard: Martinenga, Camp Gros Martinenga, and Gaiun Martinenga. Nebbiolo occupies about half of the vineyard, with the remainder devoted to varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Barbera, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
