Il Barolo DOCG del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba di Enrico Serafino rappresenta un’espressione autentica e contemporanea di questa storica denominazione. Prodotto al 100% da uve Nebbiolo, provenienti da vigneti argillosi e calcarei situati a 300 metri di altitudine, il vino viene affinato per 28 mesi in legno, con una parte in tonneaux e parte in botti di media capacità. Il risultato è un bouquet complesso che evoca sentori di mora, liquirizia, tabacco, spezie e caffè, tipici della varietà Nebbiolo. Al palato, il Barolo si distingue per la sua struttura corposa, l'eleganza e l'armonia, con tannini fini e un finale lungo e persistente. I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
