Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is a 100% Sangiovese from the Campomaggio vineyards, located between 480 and 280 meters above sea level, with an average age of 20 years. The soil is clayey-calcareous with a good presence of skeleton, ideal for obtaining a yield per hectare of 75 quintals. The vinification takes place in 50 hl truncated cone-shaped oak containers, with approximately two-thirds of the wine maturing in large oak barrels for 12-18 months. After aging for 3-6 months in the bottle, the wine has a deep ruby red color and tertiary notes of chocolate, sweet spices and cloves, accompanied by a fruity plum and light earthy hints. In the mouth it is broad and deep, with young and crisp tannins and a good acidity and well-balanced flavor. A wine with great aging potential, with a balsamic freshness that enhances its finesse.
