This Chianti Classico is a 100% Sangiovese wine from the Chianti Classico area in Tuscany. The vines, planted in 2000, grow on silt and clay soils with skeleton, producing 60 quintals per hectare. The grapes are selected manually and fermented in steel and wood vats for about 20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in wood. After 10 months in barrels and 4 months in bottle, the wine reveals notes of red cherry, black cherry, tobacco, spices and licorice. With elegant tannins and a long, fresh finish, it expresses the authentic structure of Sangiovese di Castelnuovo Berardenga.
