The word “Consenso” represents the harmony between the Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in this blend. The wine, Atlas Peak Consenso Vineyard, is composed primarily of mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon (90%), with an elegant addition of Sangiovese (10%). The grapes for our Consenso Cabernet Sauvignon come from high-altitude vineyards, terraced along the volcanic hills near our winery. A warm growing season and cool harvest combine to create an intense fruit flavor. This concentration of flavors includes a rich variety of cherry, blackcurrant, and anise. The blackberry and black cherry flavors of the Sangiovese enhance the harmony of this unique wine. The complex structure of this wine allows for long-lasting aging and appreciation.
